All started from heart
I used to look up the sky, watching airplanes flying across. I closed my eyes and imagined where they were flying to, what the other side of world would look like.
I became an engineer and spent my time in industry many years. 9 to 5, Monday to Friday, everyday I was counting days for weekends. My life didn’t seem to be special with the same daily routines.
One day, I was playing random songs from my playlist and one song caught my attention. ‘Thirst’ was the song name from my old playlist. ‘Sipping water, sipping dreams’ a song about his thirst for his dream that cannot be quenched until he achieves. I closed my eyes and was thinking of airplanes flying up in the sky heading to somewhere. And I was thinking of the days I used to doodle on walls and textbooks. I remember the day I took a train alone to the art school where I asked around people on the street “How could I learn painting”. It was on a rainy day. I opened my eyes, and felt my heart started to beat again.
A few months later, one day I was brushing my teeth. I saw something on the shelf, which was my wife’s scrunchy. At the moment, it looked like a flower that spreads its petals I’ve wished for many years and I was thinking everyone has a flower somewhere in their heart wishing to unfold their petals to reveal true brilliance in their bloom. “Why can’t I make their flowers buried deep inside from their hearts bloom?”.
When I stepped out of washroom, I saw a baseball cap hanging on the wall. I took my wife’s scrunchy and put it on the hat, thinking “What if I could make floral hats that project people’s flowers of their true colour and shape?”. This is how Bonny Sway was started.
All started from heart. And wish it blooms from your heart too. Like the day my heart started to beat again, I want your flower unfold petals from your heart.
